My Bio

Currently poking around with Ai and matte painting in SketchBook Pro.

My Ai paint over practises. I wasn't happy with the eyes on my first attempt so I thought I'd try again. The first attempt: Here is the original for comparison: I tried to keep my alterations as close to this as possible, only making the alterations to the format where I felt they were needed.

I've done it again.. , but don't worry the marathon will soon be over. Only two more A.I image work overs to go. This is number four. The eye effect this time was something of an accident for her iris, I liked it so I kept it. I'm getting more careful with the skin texture tool realising subtlety is the best policy, only suggesting a hint of depth here and there. I didn't go crazy on the lips this time, and added two streaks of white for her hair (less is definitely more). I think I'm finding a style and it's very easy to work in this format. I don't feel like I'm struggling as much as I might with a bigger composition, getting lost in layers, taking on more than I can chew. I'm going back to basics and trying to get comfortable with the fundamentals using this software tool. Anyways, that it for today.. :| The original generated Ai is underneath for comparison and where I've altered it. Which do you prefer and why if you care to answer put it in the comments below, any

Phew! What a nightmare, I thought I'd try this again since I've got five of these Ai generated images and I'm not quite ready to give up on it. I'm still attempting work overs on the more simplified pieces, going back to basics and seeing if I can work on top of them. I really enjoyed it last time, and tonnes of new techniques kept coming out and forced me to experiment beyond my usual repertoire of brush tools. I'm not working from a separate reference images now, only from the piece that I'm working on underneath. This way I'm free to add what ever textures I want. I've tried to add more complexity to her eye's concentrating on the strands you would see in her iris. I'm feeling a little more confident using more diverse brush tools for skin textures and so on. I know I'm kind of using the AI as a framework, but it has freed me from overly relying on reference images. It's beginning to make me wonder how far I can go without any reference images at all, which was never something I
